Thomas Watson, Senior, seated at the IBM 701 console (1952)

“I think there is a world market for maybe five computers.”

- Thomas J. Watson Sr. (1874 – 1956) was the American president and founder of International Business Machines (IBM), who oversaw that company’s growth into an international force from the 1920s to the 1950s. There’s debate as to whether or not Watson actually stated this 1943 quote…. but ain’t it a hoot?

By now you’ve probably heard about Shia LaBeouf’s unfortunate driving incident earlier this morning. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt except the fucktard driver himself — who almost killed innocent people. (Can you say “wake up call?”)

Let’s spew venom in Shia’s general direction later and instead meet another important sports figure, shall we?

As a gay man, I feel it is my duty to broaden my horizon by learning more about the sports world. Snicker as you will, yesterday I learned more about North Carolina wrestler Long Wang. I found that to be rather enlightening, didn’t you?

Nevertheless, soon thereafter reader TheFullBug alerted me to a one Mr. Lucious Pusey (pictured above). According to his ESPN profile, Mr. Pusey is a Line Backer for the Eastern Illinois Panthers who hails from Delray Beach, Florida. I’m not sure what a Line Baker is or does, but judging from the looks of his photo he clearly has the ability to kick anyone’s ass for deriding his monicker.

Well, I for one will refrain from such childish behaviour and will make no joking references to succulent female reproductive organs (which, to me, is an oxymoron). So nyah!

“Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that’s not why we do it.”

(And, if you understood that, please don’t explain it. Rico)

“Actors are basically drag queens. People will tell you they act because they want to heal mankind or, you know, explore the nature of the human psyche. Yes, maybe. But basically we just want to put on a frock and dance.”
